Entry requirements for minors in Paraguay

All individuals, both citizens and foreigners, including minors, must register their entry and exit at authorized migration control points. This process is free of charge and is carried out in the presence of accredited officials from the National Migration Authority.

Required Documents for Minors

Paraguayan Citizens under 18 Years Old:

Valid passport or valid Paraguayan national ID card (valid within MERCOSUR) (entry and exit).
Original birth certificate / digital birth certificate with verification code or original family book (exit).
Travel authorization for children and adolescents traveling abroad (parental or legal guardian consent and legalization by the relevant authority) (exit).

Foreigners residing in Paraguay under 18 Years Old:

Valid passport with provisional, temporary, or permanent entry permit or valid national ID card from the country of origin (valid within MERCOSUR), with entry permit (entry and exit).
Original birth certificate / digital birth certificate with verification code or original family book (exit).
Travel authorization for children and adolescents traveling abroad, if traveling without a parent, signed by the parents or legal guardians and legalized by the relevant authority (exit).

Foreigners in Temporary Stay (Non-Residents) under 18 Years Old:

Valid passport or valid national ID card from the country of origin (entry and exit).
Consular visa or visa on arrival (if required) (entry).
Proof of entry into the country (exit).
Birth certificate or family book (for MERCOSUR countries) (entry).

Important Information

The travel authorization for children and adolescents traveling abroad must be requested from the competent justice of the peace and signed and legalized by both parents or legal guardians.
In the event of disagreements between the parents, an original court authorization (Venía Judicial) is required.
Travel documents in process will not be accepted for entry or exit.
