Temporary Stay in Paraguay

Duration: Up to 2 years, renewable for the same period.

Benefits: Status as a "temporary resident," access to a Paraguayan ID card with the same validity, permission to leave and re-enter the country, study and work rights.

General Requirements

1. Identity document from the country of origin (ID card, national identity card, or passport).
2. Consular visa (if required).
3. Proof of entry into the country (stamped migration card or entry stamp in the passport).
4. Legalized or apostilled birth certificate.
5. Civil status certificate (marriage, divorce, or death of spouse, if applicable).
6. Recent police clearance certificate, certified and legalized or apostilled.
7. Criminal Record Certificate – INTERPOL: Original and certified copy.
8. Criminal Record Certificate – Foreigners (National Police): Original and certified copy.
9. Sworn Declaration of Compliance: Commitment to respect Paraguay's Constitution, laws, and regulations (issued by DNM system upon submitting the residency application).
10. Sworn Declaration of Occupation and Address: Declaration of the profession, activity, or trade to be performed in Paraguay, and the fixed residential address (issued by DNM system upon submitting the residency application).

Additional Requirements for Minors Under 18

• Identity documents of the parents or legal guardians and, in their absence, a specially legalized power of attorney for the migration process.
• Birth Certificate: Original and certified copy, to verify parentage.
