The Embassy of Paraguay in Germany holds the second session of the "Wellbeing and Community" series

The Embassy of Paraguay in the Federal Republic of Germany held the second session of the "Wellbeing and Community" series, titled "Intercultural Adolescence", an initiative aimed at strengthening support for Paraguayan nationals and creating spaces for reflection on issues relevant to the Paraguayan community living in Germany.

The activity arose from concerns raised by participants of the series' first workshop, who expressed interest in addressing the challenges faced by children and adolescents growing up in migratory and intercultural contexts.

The session featured psychoanalysts Claudio Steinmeyer and Itzel Leturmy, who volunteered their time to help develop the activity. Over the course of the session, participants discussed social, psychological and institutional aspects related to adolescence in Berlin, including questions of belonging, social media, peer groups and the support resources available to young people and families.

The participatory format allowed for a rich exchange of experiences, reflections and concerns among attendees, who shared their own experiences raising and supporting adolescents in intercultural contexts.

The Embassy wishes to extend special recognition and gratitude to psychoanalysts Claudio Steinmeyer and Itzel Leturmy for their generous willingness, commitment and valuable professional contribution. Their voluntary collaboration was essential to establishing this space, helping to strengthen initiatives aimed at the wellbeing and support of the Paraguayan community in Germany.

This activity is part of the Embassy's ongoing efforts to complement consular services with outreach and guidance actions for Paraguayan nationals, promoting spaces for dialogue that help identify needs and channel useful information to the community.

The Embassy will continue to promote this workshop series, incorporating the topics and suggestions raised by participants, with the aim of further strengthening ties with the Paraguayan community living in Germany.
